JSI Tip 10107. How can I remove 'Help and Support' from the Windows XP Start menu?

To remove Help and Support from the Windows XP Start menu:

1. Right-click on an empty area of the taskbar and press Properties.

2. Select the Start Menu tab on the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties dialog.

3. Press the Customize button.

4. Select the Advanced tab on the Customize Start Menu dialog.

5. Uncheck Help and Support in the Start menu items scroll list.

6. Press OK.

NOTE: You can also use Group Policy at User Configuration / Administrative Templates / Start Menu and Taskbar and Enable the Remove Help menu from Start Menu policy, which set the NoSMHelp Value Name, a REG_DWORD data type, at HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer to 1.
