Change the default text wrapping style

By default, Word inserts pictures as "in-line" pictures as opposed to "floating" pictures. The difference between an in-line and floating picture is the text wrapping style of the picture.

To change the default text wrapping style of pictures:

  1. Choose Tools → Options.
  2. Click the Edit tab.
  3. Choose from the Insert/Paste Pictures As list.
