Apply a color scheme

  1. In the Slide Design - Color Schemes task pane, point at a color scheme and a drop-down arrow will appear.
  2. Click the drop-down arrow next to the color scheme. Select from the menu that appears.

    Color Scheme menu

The options on the menu are:

  • Apply to Selected Slides. The selected color scheme is applied to slides selected in the Slide preview pane or Slide Sorter view.
    • Select multiple slides by clicking the first slide then holding the Ctrl key while you select additional slides.
    • Alternatively, you can select a range of contiguous slides by clicking the first slide then holding the Shift key while you select the last slide in the range.
  • Apply to All Slides. The selected color scheme is applied to the master on which the current slide is based and to all slides based on that master. This is the default command. That is, if you just click the color scheme (without opening the drop-down menu), the Apply to All Slides command is executed.
  • Apply to Master. The selected color scheme will be applied to the master on which the current slide is based, and to all slides based on the same master.
This option will only appear when you have more than one design master in a presentation. It is also the default command in such a presentation. That is, if you just click the color scheme (without opening the drop-down menu), the Apply to Master command is executed.
  • Show Large Previews. Switch between large previews or small previews of the color scheme.
