Microsoft Releases Fix-for-the-Fix for Non-compliant UEFI Modules

An update has been released (or re-released) that fixes an issue described in Microsoft Security Advisory 2871690. The fix, targeted for Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012, patches an issue where non-compliant third-party modules could load prior to the UEFI Secure Boot process.
