Last week Microsoft released the first major update to Windows 10 since it was released back on 29 July of this year.
The update, officially dubbed as the November Update, delivers new features, bug fixes and performance improvements across the entire operating system.
While many of those enhancements are under the hood, there are some very visible additions and still others tucked away throughout Windows 10 Version 1511 (10586.3).
The ability to select a folder or file and use the Right Click Context Menu to initiate a scan with Windows Defender is one of the former in the November Update.
Accessing this is very straight forward - just find the file or folder you want to scan and then right click for the Context Menu.
Click on the Scan with Windows Defender... option and Windows Defender will open and begin the scan immediately.
