Microsoft's latest entry into the increasingly lopsided Office suite wars went gold this week, and the company will announce this milestone at the Office 2000 Deployment Conference in New Orleans next week. Office 2000 will be available in retails stores the first week of June, as reported previously in WinInfo.
Office 2000 will ship in five versions--up from four in the previous release, Office 97--including Standard, Professional, Small Business, Premium, and Developer. The Office suite was originally due to be released in Q1 1999
