Intel has "indefinitely" delayed the release of the chipset that will enable four-processor Pentium II Xeon systems. This is the second, and admittedly most alarming, delay that's faced the Xeon. Originally slated to appear in June, multi-processor Xeon systems were delayed until July 17 when Intel found a bug in the chipset for four-processor and greater systems. Now, an error-checking feature in the chipset isn't working properly, causing random system reboots. Now, Intel won't give a definitive date on a correction, but internally, they're shooting for the end of July
