Microsoft to release Windows NT 5.0 Beta 2 next week

According to reports, Microsoft Corporation will finally release the ever-delayed Windows NT 5.0 Beta 2 next week at the NT 5.0 Reviewers Workshop in Seattle. Also due is a preview of COM+, the next version of Microsoft's component object strategy, a key part in the company's plans for cross-network interoptability. A feature-complete version of Windows NT 5.0--which Beta 2 claims to be--and COM+ are the cornerstones of the Windows DNA strategy that Microsoft says will unify Windows/Internet development. Some parts of COM+ will ship with NT 5.0 Beta 2, while others will follow, with a final version planned for inclusion in NT 5.0 Beta 3
