Microsoft issues fixes for two known issues in Windows 10 build 10049

When Microsoft issued the latest build of Windows 10, build 10049, to Windows Insiders last week it had two known issues according to Microsoft.

As we have heard from our Ring Master, Gabe Aul, on a regular basis one of the risks associated with getting faster builds is they will come with some challenges.

Some of those will be known and others will be unknown and hopefully discovered by Windows Insiders as they test the latest Windows 10 Technical Preview builds.

Two such issues were known in build 10049 and now the patches released today fix those very same issues as detailed below:

Outlook might not index new emails in Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 10049: After installing Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 10049, Outlook 2013 and Outlook 16 Preview might not index new emails. As a result, new emails do not appear in search results, and if you rebuild the index, no emails appear in search results.

Hyper-V cannot be enabled in Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 10049: You cannot enable Hyper-V after performing a clean install of Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 10049, nor after upgrading to Build 10049 from a build that did not have Hyper-V enabled.

Just head into Windows Update in the technical preview to download and install these.
