Microsoft Delivers Huge PDF to Compile the Windows Server 2012 TechNet Library

At 116 MB and almost 8,000 pages, this is a one crazy-beefy, ape-sized document.

Today, Microsoft has made available a PDF that compiles all the information on Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2 from the online TechNet library. Microsoft states that the availability of the documentation in this way is for those with limited Internet access. Seems to me someone simply had too much time on their hands and caught my article on Building Your Own Customized TechNet Library to Carry Around with You.

Still, a doc like this would be handy to have on a mobile device during the holidays when all the camaraderie has died down and you have a few moments to yourself. The only problem is that this doc will need to be updated every time the TechNet Library content is updated, so you'll need plan to download a new 116 MB often. For those with limited Internet access…well…

Here's the download: Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows Server 2012 TechNet Library Documentation

In all seriousness, an 8,000 page document for a single product shows how dedicated Microsoft is to providing great content and expert information. This had to take long hours, and I know that the documentation resources at Microsoft are sorely minimal. You really have to appreciate their commitment and dedication. If you ever have the chance to meet a Microsoft documentation person, give them a hug. No words. Just a hug.

P.S. No apes were harmed or humiliated in any way during the writing of this article.
