My Azure Dashboard Brings Simple VM Management to Windows 8.1

The Windows Azure dashboard is a web based console allowing subscribers the ability to manage all aspects of Microsoft’s Cloud service. But, what if you only want to manage your virtual machines, and what if you want to do it from a Windows 8.1 app?

A new app, My Azure Dashboard, that allows you to manage your Windows Azure stored VMs directly from a Windows 8.1 PC or tablet has hit the Windows app store.

Here’s what it does:

  • Connects to your Windows Azure subscription
  • Monitors status of virtual machines
  • Stops and starts VMs with a few taps or clicks
  • Pins specific VMs to the Start screen

The app does a few things, but for those that want quick access, the app is one of the first to offer simple VM management.

The app can be installed from the Windows app store. Either search the store for ‘My Azure Dashboard,’ or use the following link:
