Symantec is offering a free trial download of its upcoming Norton AntiVirus 2000, now available in beta form. Symantec is requesting that anyone downloading the beta report any bugs they find in the product. And they're offering free Symantec software to 100 random testers that submit undocumented bugs.
Norton AntiVirus 2000 beta will run on Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0, and, perhaps most surprisingly, Windows 2000. I've been testing it on Windows 2000 Professional since the weekend and it seems to work great, but remember this is a beta product so all bets are off.
