UK event roundup: Microsoft and partners hold series of free seminars

Microsoft UK and its partners are holding a series of free events over the next few weeks highlighting products like Office System and SharePoint Server 2007, SharePoint Portal Server and Dynamics CRM.

First up, Silversands host a morning of seminars at Microsoft’s Reading Campus on October 10 on Office System 2007 and Office SharePoint Server 2007. Poole-based Silversands has been involved in a number of Microsoft Office SharePoint System 2007 early adopter programmes for 2007 Office Systems. These include the Office 2007 Technology Adopter Program (TAP) and Office 2007 Rapid Deployment Program (RDP), and the company is actively working with a number of clients on pilot deployments.

The company says that the event will provide attendees with a clear understanding of the areas where the Office platform can enable their organisation’s move forward into next year and beyond. To register for the event, phone Annette Harrison on 01202 360000 or email [email protected]. More info from the Microsoft website or Silversands’ own site.

Also at the Reading Campus, Microsoft will be hosting a half day session focusing on its Search Solution for the Enterprise on October 13. The presenters from Microsoft are deeply involved in strategies and products around search technologies and the event is designed to allow attendees to provide feedback and an exchange of ideas.

During the first session customers and partners are invited to discover the vision, strategy and deliverables that make up Microsoft’s Enterprise Search Solution. This is followed by a functional drill-down of its Desktop Search Solution and “Server/Intranet” Search solution for the more technically minded. On November 2, Surrey and Manchester-based ConsultCRM presents “Microsoft CRM 3.0 -- Making it Work in the Business Service and Finance Sectors” at the Microsoft MSN site at Great Pulteney Street, Soho, London.

The morning event touches on .NET, BizTalk Server, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Mobility, Outlook, Pocket PC, SharePoint Portal Server and SQL Server and the aim is to provide an insight into how Microsoft CRM can be adapted and used in any organisation.
