The preview of Windows Server 2012 R2 has become available in the Windows Azure IaaS virtual machine gallery, allowing you to spin up and your own Server 2012 R2 VM as shown below. It has also become available for MSDN and TechNet subscribers. As I use Azure as a test environment, using 2012 R2 on Azure works pretty well as it takes much less time to spin up new instances - I've was able to create several servers on Azure before my TechNet download completed.
