Outlook 98 will be free for 90 days

For the first 90 days of its release, Outlook 98 will be available for free download from the Microsoft Web site to one and all. Microsoft had previously said that Outlook 97, Office 97, and Exchange Server users would get the program for free, but Tuesday's announcement extends the offer to anyone who is interested in trying it out. After the 90 days has passed, new users will be able to purchase Outlook 98 for $110. Upgraders will still be able to get it for free.

Outlook 98 will be available by the end of March
