Contradicting reports that the final version of Netcaster would be made available today, Netscape Communications announced today that it would be available later this week. The company also announced that 700 channels will be available via Netcaster. The Netcaster release will coincide with Communicator 4.02, the third refresh of the suite since its June release. According to Netscape, Netcaster was withheld from the original version of Communicator 4.0 so they could perform final performance and usability tuning.
