More hot-fixes appear for NT 4.0

Thanks to Michael TSANG for the tip. Microsoft released two new post-SP3 hot-fixes for Windows NT 4.0 last week. The first fix, "ide-fix," fixes a problem with certain IDE/ATAPI hard disk drives that include a write cache. This cache is normally flushed automatically depending on an algorithm used by the hard disk manufacturer. On computers that support the shut down and power down feature, the power may turn off before the write cache is flushed, causing a blue screen and/or CheckDisk to run on re-boot. The second hot-fix, "wan-fix," prevents a STOP error that can occur when copying files via RAS over a SLIP (Serial Line Interface Protocol) connection.

Both of these hot-fixes can be found on the Microsoft FTP site
