Microsoft testing Service Pack 4 for NT

Microsoft released the first beta of its Service Pack 4 for Windows NT Workstation and Server to a small group of testers this week. The service pack, which is due this summer, includes all of the bug fixes and enhancements from past service packs, as well as all of the post-SP3 hot-fixes and a new security tool. Additionally, the service pack includes fixes for the Windows NT Option Pack.

A Security Configuration Editor, which will also be included in Windows NT 5.0, allows NT administrators to easily apply security settings to a server and other machines on the network
