Microsoft readies another public IE 5.0 beta

Microsoft announced this week that the second public beta of Internet Explorer 5.0, which the company is billing as the first "full" beta of the product, will be available from the Microsoft Web site in early November. The first public beta of IE 5.0, which was made available over the summer, was geared toward developers eager to take a look at the browser's new programming features. The upcoming release will be geared toward end users, however, and features numerous new enhancements, including a new version of Outlook Express and a simpler interface
