Microsoft issues IE security patch

Microsoft Corporation on Friday released a new security patch for its Internet Explorer Web browser that is designed to fight the so-called "cross-frames" bug. While no one is known to have been bitten by this bug, the fix is available now from its Security Web site

Note that Microsoft advises users of Internet Explorer 3.0 and 4.0 to upgrade to 4.01 and then apply the patch. Patches for versions of IE older than 4.01 will not be made available
