Microsoft Corporation will enhance its Windows 98 "Windows Update" feature, a Web-based method of getting patches, new features, and updates to users of the popular operating system, with a new "Windows Critical Update." This new Web site will allow registered users to have their system automatically connect to the Microsoft site and download the latest critical patches and updates. This way, new security bugs can be attacked as quickly as possible without forcing the user to manually check a Web site every day
