Microsoft goes to court Wednesday for status meeting

Attorneys representing Microsoft Corporation and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) will meet in Judge Jackson's court on Wednesday for a status meeting to discuss some of the issues in the case. Late last week, the DOJ requested access to the source code for Windows 95 and Windows 98 and for "two days" with Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer. Gates has said that he would give only eight hours of his time in a single day. As for the source code, Microsoft says it will only do so if those viewing it sign non-disclosure agreements preventing them from using the information for 18 months.
