Microsoft fixes NT "getadmin" bug

Thanks to WinInfo subscriber Ken Newman for the tip: Microsoft has created a new post-Service Pack 3 hot-fix that fixes the "getadmin" bug. A utility called "getadmin.exe" is being circulated on the Internet that grants administrative rights normal users by adding them to the Administrators group. This utility can be run by any type of user except "Guest" and grants a local user account administrative rights. Download the hot-fix from the Microsoft FTP site
