Microsoft Corporation on Wednesday announced a new edition to its family of Office products with the introduction of its upcoming Office 2000 Premium Edition. Office 2000 Premium Edition is the fifth member of the Office family, joining Developer Edition, Standard Edition, Small Business Edition and Professional Edition.
The package will include Microsoft FrontPage 2000 and PhotoDraw 2000 in addition to Word 2000, Excel 2000, Outlook 2000, PowerPoint 2000, and Publisher 2000.
"We designed the Office 2000 product line in response to the current demands and future expectations of our customers and their increasingly Web-focused work environment," said Jon DeVaan, Microsoft's vice president of desktop applications. "The Office 2000 product line offers our customers a simple way to choose a suite that is optimal for their individual needs."
Office 2000 Premium Edition will ship in February 1999 along with the other members of the Office family
