If you issue an Ipconfig command on a multihomed Windows NT 4.0 server, certain software, like Checkpoint Firewall, will issue the subject message, if many network changes have been made or you delete/corrupt the registry key for a NIC.
To workaround the problem:
1. Remove Checkpoint Firewall (the software).
2. copy Tcpip.sys or expand tcpip.sy_ from your latest Service Pack or Windows NT CD-ROM, to %SystemRoot%\System32\tcpip.sys.
3. Shutdown and restart your server.
4. Reinstall the software (Checkpoint Firewall).
NOTE: To extract a file from a downloaded Service Pack, run ServicePackFile.exe /x.
