WinInfo subscriber Rick Ross started something called the Java Lobby, a grass roots group of Java developers and supporters who want a voice of their own, separate from Sun and Microsoft, and who want to see "write once, run anywhere" become a reality. People are really starting to tell each other, and now almost 1,000 developers have joined, making the Java Lobby the largest group of independent Java developers on the planet.
