Internet Explorer 4.0 PR2 hits the one million milestone

Microsoft announced last Friday that the second preview release of Internet Explorer 4.0 reached the one million download milestone within a week. Meanwhile, use of Microsoft's currently released browser, Internet Explorer 3.x, is at an all-time high as well. More than 15 million people now surf the Web with Microsoft Internet Explorer.

"With innovative new features including Explorer bars and Outlook Express, Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 users will get the Web information they want more easily and more quickly than ever before," said Brad Chase, vice president of the Microsoft Applications and Internet client group. "Combined with the exciting new Active Channel content from the more than 250 of the world's leading consumer and business content providers, Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 delivers a whole new way to experience the Web.
