Intel CEO Andy Grove announced today that Intel will optimize the company's best selling microprocessors so that Java runs more quickly. Intel is trying to make their systems the best platform for Java and will do so by removing bandwidth bottlenecks and introduce scalable new designs.
"Whatever we put into the processor will be available to \[Java\] and the user," Grove said.
Grove mentioned that all new computers would be networked and that the Internet enables "screen to screen" meetings to replace "face to face" communication
