A. Many applications written for OS/2 will run faster under a Virtual DOS Machine (VDM), this is because NT allocates more resources to a VDM than to the OS/2 subsystem. You should therefore disable the OS/2 subsystem as follows:
- Start the registry editor (regedit.exe)
- Move to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager
- Double click on GlobalFlag and change from 0 to 20100000. Click OK to save
- Close the registry editor and reboot the machine
