Q. I'm trying to use AppLocker polices on my Windows 7 clients. They're not working, but Software Restriction Policies do work. Why?

A. AppLocker is a premium feature available in Windows 7 Enterprise and Ultimate editions. If you're using any other version, including Professional, AppLocker policies won't be enforced and you'll need to use Software Restriction Policies.
