Use Microsoft Upgrade Analytics to Evaluate Windows 10 Readiness

This week Microsoft is quietly launching a new service that will help provide telemetry data analysis for companies considering a migration to or actively trialing Windows 10 in their organizations.

Upgrade Analytics, the official name of this new service from Microsoft, provides a tool that will pull in telemetry data from testing Windows 10 on hardware and while using Line of Business apps.

That data will then provide concrete information to help these enterprises make their decisions about a full move to Windows 10.

Upgrade Analytics will use this data to provide the following to users:

  • Up-to date application and driver inventory, including usage data
  • Information about known application and driver issues as well as guidance on how to mitigate┬áthem
  • A way to track whether an application or driver is ready Windows 10 in your organization
  • Per-Computer readiness information which you use to target computers for Windows 10 deployments

A public preview of Upgrade Analytics will launch on 22 July and you can visit the new Microsoft Upgrade Analytics site to get more information once it launches.

But, wait...there's probably more so be sure to follow me on Twitter and Google+.
