Finance Your Next Surface Hardware Purchase with the Surface Plus Program

Get ready for the next school year with Microsoft in Education events later this month.

That time has once again arrived that will see students making their way back into schools to begin a new year of study.

This also means the back to school push is starting to pop up for companies that offer the goods students need to get their schoolwork done.

Microsoft always has a collection of deals at this time of the year to assist students however, in addition to the normal collection of stuff they are announcing a new program that can help students begin the year with a new Surface device.

Surface Plus is the companies new service that can help an eligible student finance the purchase of a new Surface device along with several additional benefits.

Here are some of the details for the new program just announced today:

-- Low monthly payments: Customers can purchase a Surface device with an easy, 24-month payment plan at 0% APR.

-- Device upgrades: Customers can upgrade to the latest Surface after just 18 months.

-- Dedicated Service & Support: Surface Plus offers best in class service and support from Microsoft Stores. Customers also have the option to add the Microsoft Complete extended service plan.

-- Microsoft Store benefits: All customers who shop at Microsoft Store enjoy access to benefits like a 30-day hassle free return policy, a Surface training and health check as well as a year of free in-store support and technical assistance.

The following Surface hardware models are eligible for Surface Plus:

-- Surface Laptop
-- Surface Pro
-- Surface Book
-- Surface Studio

Sure sounds a lot like buying the latest and greatest phone on installment payments with your carrier doesn't it?

In the companies complete back to school post on the official Windows blog they also talk about Windows 10 S, Office 365 for Education, and other OEM partners hardware that could also help students be more productive in their school studies.

If you are a teacher getting ready for your own return to the classroom then you will want to check out Back to School LIVE, an event being hosted by Microsoft later this month.

On 15 August the Microsoft Education team will host a TweetMeet using the hashtag #MSFTEduChat at 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM PT (1:00 PM and 7:00 PM Eastern). All you need to do is to log into Twitter and join the conversation by following the #MSFTEduChat hashtag.

The next day, on 16 August, Back to School LIVE will kick off at 11:00 AM until 5:00 PM PT (2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Eastern). You can join the event on their Facebook page to participate.
