Microsoft will launch Visual Studio 2017 on 07 March 2017 with Two Day Live Streamed Event

The next iteration of Microsoft's Visual Studio, the 2017 edition, will be made generally available on the 7th of March and Microsoft is planning a two day online event to bring developers up to speed on the new software.

This launch event also coincides with the 20th Anniversary of the software, which was launched back in 1997 as Visual Studio 97.

The software has certainly grown a lot over those 20 years according to Julia Liuson one of the original software engineers on the development team for VS97 who is now the Corporate VP for Visual Studio.

You can register for the Visual Studio 2017 launch event here and even get involved by sharing your own Visual Studio story with Microsoft on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook.

The two day live launch event will begin at 8 AM Pacific Standard Time on March 7th and will include introductions to the new features and capabilities in Visual Studio 2017 and its integration with services like .NET, Xamarin, and Azure. That will be followed by Microsoft engineers who will provide interactive demo sessions to help you take advantage of all those new capabilities.

Day 2 of the event will consist of more interactive training on the software by Microsoft engineers.
