Q: What versions of ESX does InMage Scout support for running virtual machines?
A: InMage Scout works by running an agent inside the OS instance that sends the writes to the disk subsystem to the process server (which then forwards to the master target). For the most part, the hypervisor doesn't matter; however, InMage does test on several platforms. For ESX, the currently supported platforms are vCenter 5.0 and later and ESX/ESXi 4.0 and later.
