Q. Does Hyper-V support the new 12-core processors?

A. Hyper-V has no limit for the number of supported cores on processors, so it supports the new 12-core processors. Even better, you don't need any special version of the hypervisor to support more than six cores. Additionally, Microsoft products don't license per-core but instead per-processor or per-server, so processors with additional cores don't have additional licensing requirements.
