Q. Can I virtualize Internet Explorer (IE) with Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V)?

A. While you might be able to virtualize IE if you hack enough, it's not something that's supported or recommended. A common objective is to virtualize IE 6, but if you consider that you're trying to take a less secure browser that runs on a less secure OS (Windows XP) and trying to run it on a more secure OS (Windows 7), it's an uphill battle.
