Q: I'm running Hyper-V on Windows 8.1; nothing happens when I select the Edit Session Settings action. Why?
A: Enhanced Session Mode enables a richer experience when using VMConnect (connect from Hyper-V Manager), and various settings are modifiable. The Edit Session Settings action should allow you to customize the connection settings; however, the action frequently doesn't do anything when you select it.
The problem is most likely that you already have a VMConnect window open, which will instead launch when you select Edit Session Settings. Close any VMConnect instances, and then select the Edit Session Settings option as shown in the figure below.
The Edit Session Settings action should now work.
