Q: When connecting System Center Service Manager 2012 to System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2012, what permissions does the connecting account require?

A: System Center Service Manager (SCSM) 2012 has a connector to System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) 2012 that's primarily used to pull over information from the library and fabric, including the following:
• Service templates
• Virtual machine (VM) templates
• Logical networks
• Load balancers
• VIP profiles
• Storage classifications

The connection account used in the connector requires full access to Service Manager, and to enable full functionality, you need to make the account an SCVMM administrator.
