Q: What ports does Windows Intune use to communicate with the desktops it's managing?

A: Windows Intune is Microsoft's Software as a Service (SaaS) cloud-based desktop management solution. It can be thought of as a cloud-based version of the on-premises System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) solution but doesn't yet have all the capabilities of SCCM.

The only ports Windows Intune must have available are ports 80 (HTTP) and 443 (HTTPS). If using the Remote Assist feature, then Windows Intune will attempt to use Web Conferencing Services over ports 50000-52999 UDP/TCP; however, if these aren't available, it will use port 443.
