Microsoft is conducting a beta program for its new Windows Live Alerts service, and the company recently added Microsoft Security Response Center (MSRC) blog entries to the list of available content.
The Windows Live Alerts service, which is part of Microsoft's "Live" set of Web-based offerings, lets people receive information directly via email, Windows Messenger, or Short Message Service (SMS) from a variety of information sources, such as news outlets, job offer Web sites, and weather and traffic services.
The Windows Live Alerts beta program is open to the global public. Content is available based on location and is available in English, Spanish, French, German, and Dutch. A Live account is required in order to subscribe to the new service.
The addition of MSRC means you can receive information directly when Microsoft's security team posts new information to the MSRC blog.
