Q. With System Center do all components have to be running the same Update Rollup number?
A. System Center has moved to an Update Rollup (UR) delivery model for fixes and new functionality. The URs are released for each component and the URs are not delivered across all components at the same time nor are all components at the same UR number. Many System Center components work very closely with each other and so this leads people to believe all components need to be running the same UR even though it may not be possible, for example one component may be on UR 10 while another only has UR 8 released. The reality is unless otherwise stated there is not a requirement for specific URs between components. Try and keep each component to the latest available UR and you should not experience any interoperability issues.
