For those awaiting the next fully stocked update to Configuration Manager 2012 R2, you can thank Microsoft for finally supplying it, but on a Friday. Friday releases mean one of two things for most people:
- Download the bits, grab the docs, and spend the weekend reading up.
- Download the bits, enjoy the weekend, and just wait until Monday to sort everything out.
However, there's those rare individuals, destined to either be great or fail greatly, who enjoy clicking links to Friday releases and instead of choosing "Save As…" choose "Run." And, really, it's these brave individuals the rest of us count on for troubleshooting problems over the weekend so we're all smarter on Monday morning. To them, I say "thanks!"

Make sure to check the "Issues that are fixed" section for this update as there's a good chance you don't even need to apply it if you've kept your ConfigMgr 2012 R2 site completely up-to-date. A CU is generally used to bring a fresh ConfigMgr installation directly up to current with a single update install.
The CU1 download link does not exist on the actual page, but instead you must walk through a form to request the link by email.
