World Bank Implements Solution Based on SQL Server 2000

The World Bank Group has implemented a global economic analysis solution based on SQL Server 2000 and Knosys’ ProClarity Analytical Platform. The solution, the Second Generation Live Database (LDB), will help economists and decision makers within World Bank’s 182 member countries analyze global economic data. In the future, the solution will be available to central banks, national statistics offices, and other organizations in developing countries. “By taking advantage of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and the Knosys’ ProClarity Analytical Platform, World Bank was able to build a powerful, scalable, and cost-effective solution that helps them analyze huge volumes of complex information,” said Chris Atkinson, vice president of Microsoft .NET Developer Solutions Group.
