Telerik Adds WebUI Test Studio

Telerik has partnered with ArtOfTest, provider of software quality assurance technologies, to add a new web testing product to its portfolio Telerik WebUI Test Studio.

The new Telerik WebUI Test Studio is an automated testing solution, powered by the ArtOfTest Automation Design Canvas and WebAiiAutomation Framework. Using integrated control translators, the product is tailored for Telerik RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX. WebUI Test Studio helps developers and QAs deal with complex automated testing scenarios. Although it offers integration with the Telerik web controls, this tool also can test AJAX-based web applications.

Telerik WebUI Test Studio is designed for automated testing of modern web applications, especially AJAX-based applications. It features an Automated Overlay Surface, a visual storyboard, and an array of other advanced features for web solutions. Because of the tool s browser abstraction, recorded tests can be run against all supported browsers (Internet Explorer and Firefox, with Safari and Google Chrome support coming soon). WebUI Test Studio is fully integrated in both Team Suite and Professional editions of Microsoft Visual Studio. Support for Silverlight applications is also planned in future releases.

Telerik WebUI Test Studio (powered by ArtOfTest) is currently available for public preview. The official release will coincide with the release of Telerik Q1 2009. Telerik WebUI Test Studio will be available with a per-machine license priced at US$2,499. The first release will include translators for Telerik RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX; translators for Telerik RadControls for Silverlight will be added in a future release.
