Pop the Hood

If there s one constant in the publishing industry, it s that things are always changing. Just ask Johann Gutenberg. But really, it s OK it keeps things interesting.
One exciting change for asp.netPRO that I m pleased to announce is the addition of Michele Leroux Bustamante to our group of regular contributors. Starting this month, Michele presents her new column, ASP.NET Under the Hood. And just what, you ask, will she be uncovering? According to Michele, now that you ve had a chance to play with ASP.NET and fall in love with it the real work begins. To build real applications, she explained, you sometimes have to dig under the covers and override the default behaviors of the ASP.NET runtime environment.
And she knows what she s talking about. Michele is Chief Architect at IDesign Inc., Microsoft Regional Director for San Diego, a Microsoft MVP for XML Web services, a BEA Technical Director, and a board member for the International Association of Software Architects (IASA). At IDesign Michele provides training, mentoring, and high-end architecture consulting services, specializing in scalable and secure .NET architecture design, globalization, Web services, and interoperability with Java platforms. She also is a frequent conference presenter and a frequently published author (she s currently writing a book for O Reilly on the Windows Communication Foundation).
Michele also hosts a blog, dasBlonde. It s all things about the .NET architecture, she said, but mostly ASP.NET, Indigo/WCF, Web services, interoperability, globalization, versioning, and deployment.
