Opera Adds SDK for Microsoft Windows CE
Opera Software announced availability of the Opera 9 SDK for Devices running on the Microsoft Windows CE platform. Devices running on Windows CE can now integrate the full-featured Opera browser to deliver the full Internet or to create Web applications, widgets, and dynamic user interfaces.
Opera s Web rendering and navigation technologies enable the Web to be dynamically adapted to deliver a user experience to a wide range of device types. With Opera s existing port and integration API for Microsoft Windows CE, device manufacturers can get Opera up and running on devices ranging from portable media players and remote controls to set-top boxes and automotive infotainment systems.
Opera s capabilities designed for devices include its Extensible Rendering Architecture (ERA), which tailors Web sites to fit in any screen size, JavaScript and rendering engines, and a configurable and full-featured user interface. Opera also enables dynamic AJAX applications.
