Recently, we asked Trevor to give us a little information about himself. Here's what he shared:
ITDC: Give us a brief introduction to you.
Trevor: Hi there! My name is Trevor Sullivan, a multi-year Microsoft MVP awardee, and a Docker Captain! Sharing useful, quality information, building cool software and training, and enabling other people to be successful, are my core, industry passions. Aside from that, I’m particularly fond of microbreweries and sampling the massive array of different beer styles.
ITDC: Describe the sessions you are presenting and why you feel the topic is important.
Trevor: At IT/DevConnections 2016, I’ll be talking about a wide variety of interesting, bleeding edge topics! These topics include PowerShell, Visual Studio Code, Microsoft Azure, and even automation from Linux!
ITDC: What should attendees expect to be able to take away from your sessions?
Trevor: After attending any of my sessions, you’ll come away with a foundational knowledge about how to work with the Microsoft Azure cloud platform, automate a variety of tasks from PowerShell, and you’ll even pick up some PowerShell tips and tricks along the way!
ITDC: What is your primary reason to be excited about IT/Dev Connections?
Trevor: IT/DevConnections has a long-standing history of being a high quality event that brings together the best of software development and DevOps topics. I’m excited to be at ITDevCon because of the incredible amount of information available, and networking with the industry’s top leaders.
ITDC: What is the one key technology you believe is changing the technology industry right now?
Trevor: Docker is one of the hottest and most influential technologies in the industry. This company and project make the concept of lightweight Linux application containers easily accessible to software developers and DevOps professionals.
ITDC: Assuming attendees want to know, what’s your favorite, non-technical hobby or pastime? What’s one thing that totally irks you.
Trevor: I enjoy owning and shooting firearms, and riding around the beautiful state of Colorado on my motorcycle.
One thing that irks me is when people don’t think independently.
