Infragistics Releases NetAdvantage 2005 Beta 2 for VS 2005 Beta 2

Infragistics announced the availability of its first release of the NetAdvantage toolset for Visual Studio 2005 Beta 2. NetAdvantage is a toolset for building the presentation layer of your commercial-class Windows Forms, ASP.NET, and Tablet PC applications. NetAdvantage 2005 Volume 1, compiled natively against Visual Studio 2005 Beta 2, includes support for key features of the .NET Framework 2.0 and takes advantage of many of the new ease of use features in Visual Studio 2005, allowing developers to create consistent applications with the Microsoft look and feel while writing less code than using .NET Framework 1.1.

Specific features in NetAdvantage 2005 Beta 2 for Visual Studio 2005 for Windows Forms include: snap lines, GDI text support, managed theming APIs/scroll control, smart tags, integration of editors into the inbox grid, new data binding support (partial), DataSource window integration, and ImageList key integration. Specific features for ASP.NET include: design-time data binding, support for the new Designer Architecture, IWebPart support, out band callback for WebGrid, and more.

Before Microsoft delivers the final release of Visual Studio 2005, Infragistics will roll out an additional beta release of the NetAdvantage toolset for the Visual Studio 2005 Framework. This release will be based on the latest current shipping version of NetAdvantage only, and will incorporate additional Visual Studio 2005 functionality. Customers with a current NetAdvantage subscription will receive all the new Visual Studio 2005/.NET Framework 2.0 products as soon as they are released, free of charge.
