Dundas Chart for SharePoint v1.5 Available

Dundas Data Visualization announced the latest release of Dundas Chart for SharePoint v1.5, an advanced charting component designed specifically for Microsoft s SharePoint portal technology. The company also released an updated and enhanced Dundas Gauge for SharePoint v1.5.

Using these two Web Parts, you can now turn your collaborative portals into visually appealing dashboards and scorecards. With charts, and an assortment of gauges and dials, you can visualize your KPIs and other key corporate data within your own portal, all without relying on tools like Visual Studio.

With version 1.5 of each product, data binding becomes much easier, automatic, and more streamlined, because they now offer the ability to retrieve data directly from the SharePoint site list collections. In addition, by simplifying the code required to implement callbacks to a simple checkbox, v1.5 lets you quickly enable a real-time behavior within SharePoint 2007.

Other highlights specific to Dundas Chart include the ability to automatically apply advanced financial and statistical formulas within the SharePoint design user interface, plus the capability to provide data to any other SharePoint Web Part, including Dundas Gauge for SharePoint.

SharePoint is a Web-based collaboration and document-management environment developed by Microsoft to organize corporate data and provide a structure to otherwise dissimilar data. Dundas Chart for SharePoint allows you to add highly customizable charts to your SharePoint portal, while Dundas Gauge for SharePoint lets you add gauges, dials, and knobs to display data that simply can t be shown effectively in a chart.
