Microsoft's Q3 Earnings Call
Microsoft's Q3 earnings took place last week, and the overall tone of the call was fairly positive. Microsoft positioned itself in a place where it pleased investors, as the company’s profit had previously declined slightly, year over year. Notably, Office 365 was the focus for the majority of the call, where revenue for the cloud service grew over 100 percent. Office 365 and OneDrive Pricing and Storage News
In an effort to make its cloud services more appealing from a price and usage perspective, Microsoft has made several different pricing and storage announcements for Office 365 and OneDrive to entice users to their services. First, Microsoft recently began selling Office 365 Personal, which is its lower-priced subscription for users who want the full Office 2013 suite but might not need it on multiple computers and devices.
Microsoft also announced that it is increasing storage for OneDrive to Business users, where each user will be upgraded to 1TB from 25GBs. Currently, Microsoft is focusing on making users aware that OneDrive for Business is the go-to holistic solution that's unmatched in the market.
